The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XDAJX-V3BD or 282XDAJXV3BD, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO built for continuous-duty cycle work. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and fits transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic). Series-rated continuous torque reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque falls in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. Shaft power is rated at 29 HP (21 kW) at 500 RPM and 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM. Typical applications include aerial, towing and recovery, water trucks, construction equipment, and fuel oil delivery.
