The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XMAJX-V3RS or 282XMAJXV3RS, is an 8-bolt, medium-duty hot-shift PTO rated for continuous-duty torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. It ships with a 1-1/4" round output shaft keyed with a 5/16" key, and accepts either pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. Output power reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Rotatable flanges allow flexible installation orientation, and an integral air valve simplifies the shift circuit. Direct-mount outputs include an optional Wet-Spline configuration for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft outputs feature a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The Smart Start option supports high-torque start-up conditions. Typical markets include aerial work platforms, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery trucks.
