The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off, part number 282XMAJX-A5RF or 282XMAJXA5RF, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot shift PTO designed for demanding continuous-duty work cycles. It accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation and mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key. Shaft power output reaches 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm); continuous torque is rated at 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) - verify the actual de-rated rating on the Chelsea 282 Series application pages for your specific configuration. An integral air valve, rotatable flanges, optional wet-spline lubrication, and Smart Start capability for high-torque engagement are built into the 282 Series design.
