The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XPAJX-B3RK or 282XPAJXB3RK, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift PTO designed for continuous-duty service. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) with an integral air valve. Intermittent torque rating falls in the 201-300 lb-ft range; the series is rated for continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft - confirm actual ratings on the application pages for your installation. Shaft power output is 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible transmission manufacturers include Allison, Volvo/Mack, and Eaton/Fuller. The 282 Series supports Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft life, plus a Smart Start option for high-torque start-up. Typical applications include aerial equipment, towing and recovery, construction equipment, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery.
