The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot-shift PTO platform, incorporating the best elements of the 238 Series into a single, consolidated line. The 282 Series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options, giving spec engineers broad flexibility for direct-mount and driveshaft output configurations. Direct-mount versions offer an optional Wet-Spline output for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output versions include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. A Smart Start option is available within the series for high-torque start-up conditions.
