The Chelsea 282XTAJX-13XD or 282XTAJX13XD is a medium-duty hot shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series, designed for applications including aerial equipment, towing and recovery, construction, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation, with an integral air valve built in. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power is 29 HP (21 kW) at 500 RPM and 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM. Compatible with Allison, Volvo/Mack, Eaton/Fuller, and other transmission families. Available with an optional wet-spline output and Smart Start for high-torque engagement.
