The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off (part number 288GAKVW-M8RY or 288GAKVWM8RY) is a heavy-duty, 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. Wider gears and larger-capacity bearings support a continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft. The round output shaft (1-inch with 1/4-inch key) includes a positive-stop feature that prevents oil seal damage caused by driveline couplings. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing the effects of vibration. An optional Wet Spline configuration provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Nine speed ratios are available, covering both low and high ranges. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
