The Chelsea 447 Series Power Take-Off, part number 447XQITX-A3XD or 447XQITXA3XD, is a 6-bolt mounted PTO assembly designed around a one-piece input gear with a gap between its two sets of teeth. That gap is the defining engineering detail: it eliminates interference problems inside the transmission PTO aperture, making the 447 Series fit transmissions where a standard PTO would clash with adjacent gearing. Compatible transmissions include Eaton/Fuller and ZF units, among others. The wire/cable mechanical shift delivers output power of 36-45 HP (31-40 kW), with shaft power rated at 21 HP at 500 RPM and 43 HP at 1000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round design, also available with keyway. Four internal speed ratios and tapered bearings instead of needle bearings give this unit stronger load-bearing capability than earlier Chelsea series.
