The Chelsea 489GAITX-A3GB or 489GAITXA3GB is a Series 489 Power Take-Off Assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate that would otherwise introduce an additional leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4" round output shaft (with keyway) is driven by tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for improved load capacity. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is rated at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
