The Chelsea 489GCITX-A3XD or 489GCITXA3XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off Assembly from Chelsea's 489 Series, designed to mount directly to the 8-bolt opening on manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, reducing potential leak paths. This unit delivers an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range and output power of 46-55 HP, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with keyway. Internal components are shared with the Chelsea 442 Series, and the wire/cable mechanical shift mechanism includes an electric-over-air option.
