The Chelsea 489GFAHX-S3XK or 489GFAHXS3XK is a 489 Series power take-off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting opening, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating that potential leak path. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit, with an electric-over-air shift option available through the 489 Series. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a key. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series.
