The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GFITX-A3XK or 489GFITXA3XK, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to the transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with key. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), matching the capacity of the 442 Series. Shaft power output reaches 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load handling. Available in pressure-lube and no-pressure-lube variants.
