The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GFITX-V3SQ or 489GFITXV3SQ, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for use with manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths compared to multi-piece designs. This unit uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Intermittent torque capacity is in the 201-300 lb-ft range (check application pages for actual torque ratings). Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
