The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, reducing both installation time and potential leak paths. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
