The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); output power runs 46-55 HP (31-40 kW), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
