The Chelsea 489GSAHX-A5XD or 489GSAHXA5XD is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly built around a one-piece cast iron housing that bolts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Tremec, and other compatible manual transmissions. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series, delivered through a wire/cable mechanical shift mechanism. Output is a 1-1/4" round shaft with keyway. At 500 RPM shaft power is 24 HP (18 kW); at 1,000 RPM it rises to 48 HP (36 kW). The integral housing eliminates the need for a separate adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths. Internal components are common to the 442 Series, keeping spare parts straightforward.
