The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GUAHX-V5XK or 489GUAHXV5XK, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with keyway. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, simplifying parts stocking. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
