The Chelsea 489GWAHX-A3XK or 489GWAHXA3XK is a 489 Series power take-off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate that creates an additional leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for this series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with key. Internal components share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series, and the unit uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for improved load capacity.
