The Chelsea 489XFAHX-A3PA or 489XFAHXA3PA is a 489 Series power take-off assembly built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission face, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for increased load capacity. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) and delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM shaft power. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
