The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XHAHX-V3GA or 489XHAHXV3GA, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, and Mack applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series reaches 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is rated at 24 HP (18 kW) at 500 RPM and 48 HP (36 kW) at 1000 RPM. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
