The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XHITX-W3XK or 489XHITXW3XK, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly built for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission's 8-bolt opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
