The Chelsea 489XLAHX-U5SQ or 489XLAHXU5SQ is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting opening, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating an extra potential leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and carries a 1-1/4" round output shaft with key. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft; the 489 uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
