The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XQAHX-S3XD or 489XQAHXS3XD, mounts directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate used on many competing designs, cutting potential leak paths. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit, with an electric-over-air shift option also available in the 489 Series. The 1-1/4" round output shaft (with key) is driven through tapered bearings rather than needle bearings, improving load capacity.
