The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XQAHX-X3XK or 489XQAHXX3XK, is an 8-bolt PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift is wire/cable mechanical type. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration, with a keyed option available. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
