The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XSAHX-V3GK or 489XSAHXV3GK, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path while delivering the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. Shift is via wire/cable mechanical actuation. The 1-1/4" round output shaft (with key) is supported by tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The kit-style design simplifies service, and internal parts are common to the 442 Series.
