The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUAHX-A3RA or 489XUAHXA3RA, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built on an 8-bolt mounting pattern. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries the same intermittent torque rating as the 442 Series at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); check application pages for actual torque ratings for your installation. Output is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft is available with keyway. Tapered bearings provide greater load-bearing capability than needle bearing designs. Common internal parts with the 442 Series simplify bench service.
