The Chelsea 489XUDBX-A3XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the 489 Series, designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. The 489 Series delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, simplifying service.
