The Chelsea 489XWDUX-W3XR or 489XWDUXW3XR is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt opening, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers an output shaft type of 7/8" 13-tooth SAE B on a Chelsea Special (Cloverleaf) flange. The 489 Series is rated for intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity.
