The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XWITX-V3XD or 489XWITXV3XD, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built on an 8-bolt mounting configuration. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Tremec, and other compatible manual transmissions, eliminating the adapter plate that creates an extra potential leak path. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with keyway. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), matching the 442 Series rating. Shaft power output is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common with the 442 Series, and the kit-style design supports field servicing.
