The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on many PTO installations, removing a common leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with keyway. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, which simplifies parts sourcing.
