The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZADAX-A3XD or 489ZADAXA3XD, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly engineered for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec platforms. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and removing a potential leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4" round output shaft (with keyway option) delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Tapered bearings handle radial loads with greater capacity than needle-bearing designs. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series.
