The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, which removes a potential leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key.
