The Chelsea 489ZHDAX-W5XK or 489ZHDAXW5XK is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off assembly from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions with an 8-bolt aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible units. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths and installation time. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift type and features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with keyway. The 489 Series shares the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, and its tapered bearings provide greater load-bearing capability than needle-bearing designs. Shaft power output is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service.
