The Chelsea 489ZQDAX-A5XD or 489ZQDAXA5XD is a 489 Series power take-off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Wire/cable mechanical shift controls the engagement. The 1-1/4" round output shaft (with keyway option) supports 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); check application pages for the torque rating specific to this configuration.
