The Chelsea 489ZRDAX-A5XQ or 489ZRDAXA5XQ is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt opening, eliminating the adapter plate that would otherwise add a potential leak path. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Tapered bearings replace the needle bearings found in some competing designs, providing greater load-bearing capacity.
