The Chelsea 489ZRITX-A5GF or 489ZRITXA5GF is a 489 Series power take-off assembly built around a one-piece cast iron housing that mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions. The integral housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths compared to multi-piece designs. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power delivery is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style construction simplifies service work.
