The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XDFJW-M5RZ or 878XDFJWM5RZ, is a constant mesh PTO engineered for Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. Built as a direct improvement on the 877 Series, the 878 features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and rotatable cast-iron flanges to minimize clearance and interference issues. Steel disc thickness within the clutch pack has been increased by 80% to handle vibrational stress from modern engine designs. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications, and a Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft service life by 7 to 10 times. The hose ships with the unit.
