The clutch is positioned at the rear of the PTO housing so the gear section sits flush against the transmission, and the pump output locates to the rear of the transmission for adequate clearance from the frame rail. A rear-of-transmission support bracket is included in addition to the standard side-mount bolt pattern. The 892 Series is compatible with Allison 4700 transmissions equipped with or without a cooler or retarder.
