The Chelsea 897 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 897HAFJW-M5AF or 897HAFJWM5AF, is a constant-mesh PTO engineered specifically for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. The 897 Series moves the pump mounting flange to the rear of the transmission, locating the pump output behind the gear section so the housing tucks tightly against the transmission for improved clearance between the PTO and the frame rail. The assembly uses a single one-piece main shaft, eliminating the input splines found in PTO-plus-extension designs. Output is SAE C flange type, mounting is 10-bolt, and the wet-spline output extends pump shaft life in demanding duty cycles. Continuous-duty torque reaches 670 ft-lb; intermittent torque is rated at 501+ ft-lb. At 1,000 RPM, shaft output is 128 HP.
