The Chelsea 897 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 897HDFJW-M5XS or 897HDFJWM5XS, is a constant-mesh PTO engineered for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. The 897 Series positions the pump mounting flange at the rear of the transmission, placing the output away from tight frame-rail clearances without requiring a separate extension unit. The main shaft is a single one-piece design, eliminating the input splines between the PTO body and the output extension. Wet Spline Technology is built in to protect the PTO and pump shaft under demanding duty cycles. The unit mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and outputs through an SAE C flange. Continuous-duty torque is rated up to 670 lb-ft; intermittent torque is rated at 501+ lb-ft. Shaft power output reaches 128 HP at 1,000 RPM.
