The Chelsea 897LFFJW-M5XS or 897LFFJWM5XS is a constant-engagement PTO assembly engineered for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. It uses a 10-bolt mounting configuration and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump interface rearward for improved clearance between the pump and the frame rail. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found in PTO-plus-extension designs. Wet Spline output technology reduces wear on the PTO and pump shaft during demanding duty cycles. Continuous torque is rated up to 670 ft-lb (check application pages for actual torque ratings); intermittent torque exceeds 501 ft-lb. Shaft power output reaches 128 HP at 1,000 RPM.
