The Chelsea 897LEFJW-M5XS or 897LEFJWM5XS is a constant-engagement (constant mesh) power take-off assembly built for Allison World Transmissions, including the Allison 3000 and 4000 Series. The 897 Series design relocates the PTO/pump mounting flange to the rear of the transmission, creating additional pump clearance compared to conventional PTO positions. The 10-bolt mounting pattern and SAE C output flange accommodate a wide range of hydraulic pump configurations. A wet-spline output extends pump-shaft service life. Continuous torque rating reaches 670 ft-lb (908 Nm); shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4-14T spline with an SAE C 2- or 4-bolt flange.
