The Meritor E-2403HD or E2403HD is a Mega Plus Minor Brake Repair Kit designed for 12.25 in. trailer axle drum brakes. This kit converts Standard Forge 12.25 in. cast-shoe brakes to fabricated steel shoes. It includes Euclid's own-design anchor pin (E-2414), which allows fabricated steel shoes to fit the Standard Forge bolt-on spider originally built for cast shoes. Compatible brake widths are 5.50 in. and 7.50 in., and the kit carries FMSI designations 4607 and 4544. Brake shoe E-2394 is specified for use with this kit. The kit contains no anchor pin bushing and cross-references numerous industry part numbers including Haldex CQ67503 and CQ67503B, Dana/Spicer 45A and HK45XLS, Dayton/Batco 08107500, Trailmobile 382403HD, and Leland K50, among others.
