The Muncie A20-A1005-HX5BB or A20A1005HX5BB is a medium-duty, clutch shift power take-off engineered specifically for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions, mounting via a 10-bolt interface. Part of Muncie's A20 Series, it features a 360-degree rotatable shift cover and a rotatable pump flange, both designed to simplify installation in tight engine compartments. Tapered roller bearings and an increased-diameter output shaft extend service life, while maximized gear geometry reduces operating noise. The design carries a single intermittent/continuous torque rating and is available in three housing arrangements, giving drivetrain builders flexibility in plumbing and mounting orientation.
