Muncie TG8S-U6809-A3KX PTO is a TG8 Series power take-off with an 8-bolt housing and mechanical shift.
This kind of PTO mounts on the transmission and sends engine power out to an auxiliary hydraulic pump, which is how a work truck drives its hydraulic equipment. Because the input gear stays in constant mesh, shifting the unit in does not send engagement shock back into the transmission. The die-cast aluminum housing cuts weight and noise compared with iron and sheds heat better, and the modular design keeps repairs simple.
