The Muncie RS6S-P89M2-P1PX or RS6SP89M2P1PX is a rear counter shaft power takeoff built specifically for the Detroit DT12 transmission. It carries a 1.32 internal ratio and is solenoid-activated for mechanical engagement. Output options include SAE "BB" 2/4-bolt or 1410 companion flange, giving installers flexibility based on the driven equipment. The unit is rated for 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) maximum torque and up to 60 HP (45 kW) at 1,000 RPM. A 6-bolt non-standard PTO base mounts directly to the DT12 without an adapter. The design takes advantage of the transmission's full torque capacity and supports larger hydraulic pumps, subject to a bending moment limit of 29.5 ft-lb maximum.
