Permatex 56521 High Performance Thread Sealant is a 50 ml, OEM specified sealant formulated for metal, tapered pipe thread fittings. It contains PTFE and is used in place of Teflon tape and pipe dopes. Once cured it is rated to hold up to 10,000 PSI, and it coats the mated threads so they resist galling, rust and corrosion, while the joint holds through vibration, heat swings and pressure spikes. A fitting can still be repositioned after the sealant is applied. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
