Permatex High Temperature Threadlocker RED, part number 27240, is a high-strength anaerobic thread-locking compound in a 36 ml bottle. Formulated for bolts and press fits in the 3/8 in. to 1-1/2 in. (10 mm to 38 mm) diameter range, it resists loosening caused by shock, severe vibration, and heat stress. Temperature resistance reaches 450°F (232°C), making it suited for newer engines and high-performance applications where standard threadlockers fall short. Despite its high holding strength, the cured adhesive is removable using heat and hand tools. OEM-specified for heavy-duty use. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission. Call us to confirm this is the right formulation for your application.
