This mainshaft gear fits the 4th/8th position of a Mack manual transmission and measures 6.5 in. x 2 in. x 7 in. It is made by PAI and sold individually as a direct replacement for the mainshaft assembly. Mounted on the mainshaft, it meshes with the countershaft gears to carry power through the selected gear ratio.
