Bendix 225019 is a genuine Bendix Rotochamber, listed as type TYP-36, in the air brake chamber category. A Rotochamber is the actuator at the wheel end: it turns air pressure from the brake system into mechanical force that pushes the rod that applies the foundation brake. When a chamber is due for replacement it usually shows itself as an audible air leak around the unit, a dented or corroded housing, a bent pushrod, or missing dust plugs and clamp bands.
